Okay, so I think that we have goldfish and koi fry (we have them in seperate ponds)! Last year we had baby koi but didn't find them until they were a little larger. Last night I noticed little baby "tadpoles" drawn to the lights and they look like fry I saw online. What do I do to keep them alive!?!?!

I was planning on pullnig out as many as possible tonight (was going to put both varieties together) and putting them in a rubbermaid container with a small stauary pump. I read that they will eat brine shriimp or egg yolf/hard boiled egg but I want to try to raise them (rather than letting them get eaten) so what should I do???

Look on our spawning forum. Koiguy just put a post together for raising brine. And yes, they will eat the yolk too.

On the DIY section, I've also got a build design for a cheap nursery/hatchery you can make if you don't want 'em getting eaten.

a stocktank, baby pool etc will suffice.(i have 20 fry i kept seperate in a 27 tuff stuff tote) aerate with an air pump and stone. i use a 3 gallon bucket elevated above the tub with a small hole and a section of airline with a stainless steel washer on the end so it stays at the bottom of the tank. i fill the bucket every day and let it slowly drain into the tank i have fry in...the tub is 27 gals so i basically do a 10% or so water change daily.. i have a drain hole in the tub at the level i want the water to stay with a piece of screen over it to keep any fry from washing out. the bucket is elevated avbove the tub.the hose goes to the bottom so as the water goes into the tub it pushes the old water out the top drain hole...i dechorinate the water of course. heres a link to a diy brine shrimp hatchery..i use this design and it works..if youve got a bunch of fry i would use more than one. https://www.gardenpondforum.com/raising-your-own-fry-foods-t5770.html#post42381
