Very nice koi :)
Is today moving day?
I've got my baby koi in a new 90 gallon tank. I forgot to count them when I put them in there, but I estimate 40 to 50. Sure hope I don't have to do water changes every day....

Well for the first time this year my favorites have changed. The Kohaku and the largest sanke in the next to the last pic, now take the top awards. Really That Kohaku has some really nice markings, if it will hold them that's going to be a stunning fish when it gets older. you ended up with several potential watchers in this years group. I see at least six I would like to watch and see how they progress. Dang summer didn't last long for them outside!

herzy.....yes i have posted pics and videos of my basement pond...no it has not caused any issues with humidity, or any of its problems. i keep the water temps around 60*f and the heat vents closed in the basement...its stays in the mid 60s....now my basement is for storage its not drywalled or anything. anyways heres some links to pics and videos.

I think a basement pond would be cool, but my wife would not be a fan, lol so instead I will have to settle for getting a 55 gallon aquarium up and running and putting tropicals in it.

that is part of my fear of putting one in (that and my wife's response, lol), we have half the basement done and the other half storage. would hate to see it if it leaked, my mother in law had to deal with that with hers this past summer (sump pump failure) and did not have a good time with it. would like to watch the fish all year too, but I will have to just wait till spring. so instead I will just set up my 55 gal aquarium to enjoy instead, but i think your set up is really cool

Herz,
I just started this thread in the general section. https://www.gardenpondforum.com/topic/8020-aquascaping/ I hate when I can no longer enjoy my pond for the four months of winter and would like to be able to enjoy my fish all year, but like you I have a finished basement and that just would not be feasible, however doing some research yesterday into aquariums I came across this art called aquascaping. It sounds pretty cool but might be a lot of work too.
