Frog and Toad Together

I do not have my skimmer and waterfall running right now as I don't want to suck all these toad tadpoles into it. All the edges around the pond are this thick with toad tadpoles. I have not yet seen any frog eggs.

I have floating lotus planters that I leave in all winter. The toads seem to lay their eggs in them every year. I take the toad eggs out as soon as I see them , if left for any amount of time they will hatch and smell terrible.

I have never noticed any smell.
