Hey, I came up with an easier method for cleaning the fountain filter than actually wading into the pond.

I took a larger diameter PVC pipe and cut two parallel slits in it so I could peel down the material creating a large notch in the end which I was able to reach over and slide onto the stem of the fountain below the head and lift it up and over to the side. It takes a little skill not to drop it, but I did it the first try. Any similar concept would work, I'm sure! :-D

I had no issues climbing into the pond except now that I have lillies on the shelf, I have to disturb them to go in and out.

Good idea, it's a balancing act for me and I end up getting wet somehow or another usually. Mine are on the edges of the pond so I can barely reach them. Didn't put them in the middle as the pond is so deep there and would have had to go in to retrieve and put them on a crate or something.

Good news! I checked the distance on the cultivator tines and I think it is the perfect
fountain grabbing tool although I have not actually tried it yet. It should work better than my spur of the moment idea with the PVC because the end is bent at a 90 and will stop it from slipping off.
