I could never ignore the cute froggy but maybe it's just too darn hot right now for the Forget me nots? Mine have their roots stuck in between my rocks around the ponds edge w/ their roots in the water. Is that what you do or are yours just floating freely on the surface of the water? Mine don't look real great at the moment but they have some blooms on them.

The leaves are a healthy green so may be the heat as jw says .Everything wants to rest during a heat wave ,maybe they are napping .

The forgetmenots will turn brown under water, the leaves. They do best shallow, in gravel/rocks, roots in water crown out

They get leggy I take sirrors to mine off and on, haircut time!

I started seeing "aquatic" forget-me-nots being sold last year by various stores. After checking around and comparing scientific names, it turns out these are exactly the same plant being sold in pots by the nurseries. More importantly, the plants being sold as full aquatic (plant 2-6 inch deep in water) were in fact NOT aquatic and will die off if planted underwater.

I got some new plants this year and put them in the rocks around the edge so their roots are fully submerged, but the rest of the plant is out of the water. Its hard to tell if they are doing any better, though, because mine are also turning brown and drying up. I have a few stems that are healthy green, and the rest of each plant looks dead.

I picked mine up from a lady that has her own backyard business. So i think mine are aquatic 4getmenot, and they do fine a little under water.

Is this what they look like when grown in a bog? I thought this was Forgetmenots that Addy sent but looking at the pics above I'm not sure. BTW, been averaging temps of 90-100 for the last two weeks here and whatever it is it seems to be doing really good.
