It never fails before the season changes all the way i start to get low on food
I will still have to order a small cold weather food along with my summer food
Hi DrCase, I'm glad to hear to it's not just me. Bad planning on my part. One thing I try not to do is have to much of one type of food for my pond fish, because I hate like the dickens to throw fish food away. I know Tetra products that I buy don't seem to have a experation date, but I wont' feed my fish food that has been opened (seal broken), from last season.
Great idea! I bought a large supply of fall- spring food last year when we had a lot of fish and then we had a lot of them die and got rid of gold fish. I will break out the vaccum sealer!
I have the Food Saver vacuum. If this is what you have don't due it in auto. I did that and about 1 out of 4 bags leaked. The edges of the food put pin hole in the bag;
I do it manually and stop and seal before it gets to that point.

I use Gaterade bottles to put my food in the day the bag is opened. That way, it all stays fresh. Since I also offer food to my Koi customers, it goes fast and is always fresh.
