Hi All

I have got blanket weed in my pond recently, I am not bothered with getting rid of it (i.e. I know how to etc.) as it comes and goes every year ... however, I've noticed that my koi are purposely lodging themselves in it in order to float near the surface without effort. I thought initially they were getting stuck but after watching it seems purposeful, they seem to do it so they can sunbathe. Do anyone else's fish do this?

I don't have koi but my goldfish like to sit and float among the floating plants. They love to ride the bubbles up on my aerator also.

Fish don't like their eyes blinded by sunlight, they will peak out from any cosey shade cover, enjoying the warmer, shallow water, gawking...
