Fish safety

My husband and son are putting a filter in tomorrow and I was wanting to know if the fish will be okay if they have to turn the pump off for a little bit while connecting filter to the pump.

I have turned my pump off now and then working on the lines, longest was about 4 hours. The fish showed no ill affects.

Thanks Addy. I am so glad I'm getting this filter in. The guy I had ordererd a filter from on Ebay just happen to open the box to check it out before he sent it and it was busted so he refunded my money. I was glad because that one did not have a UV light and this one I bought at Lowe's does.
