Fish quantities

I know again this has probably been answered a million times but here goes;
My new pond set up has been working just over 3 weeks and its great i love it, the water is clear etc and fish are happy, my question is what is the rule to how many fish I can have in there, the size of the pond is 7ft x 4ft x 16inches, i know not the 18inches deep but ive been told its ok. so how many fish can i have, i currently have 7 fish which adds up to a total of 24inches of fish at their current size, would this be the total amount that my pond would realistically hold?

I have a 7ft by 3ft by 3ft that currently has five 8" goldies and 2 minnows and I can still fit a lot more fish in there.

I have 2no. gold fish / 2no subunkins / 2 blue orfes / 1 small gold fish

With these fish you have no problem. A few more is fine.
