FISH ID, QUICK PLEASE

I'm at WALLY-WORLD. This fish caught my attention. In with assorted comets. Looks like a koi?? Has barbels and those unique koi patterns. Hybrid?

OK, I'm only keeping goldfish, out of concern for plants, mainly. Are hybrid koi equally destructive to plants? Wondering if I should buy him???

Well, I went back and looked at the tank, and even though every fish in there was a comet, there WAS a sticker on the tank that said "koi." I was tempted, but if I got him, and he turned out to be a plant-devil.... I become very attached, very quickly, and decided it was best to not put myself in that situation He was pretty!

Yea, I know, but was wondering if he could have been a "hybrid."

i believe hybrids are normaly quite drab... more like a wild carp.

Its a doitsu shusui but a bad example of one, every now and again a koi may get mixed in with a shipment of goldfish to your dealer and vica versa.....
