Depends on if your water has chlorine or Chloramines,

Chlorine dissipates in a day with the pumps running or air bubbling.

If you have chloramines you need to use a water treatment that handles it.

Anything other then that is not needed and up to you.

There are products like prime that are said to help with the fish;s slime coat but you water has never had fish in it so what would it be protecting the fish from. Never used the stuff anymore.

I would test the pH prior to adding fish. You said noting about the pond size or filtration so my idea of what you have for a pond is vague.
