I finally got a lily to bloom in my pond after three years. Not really sure why it decided to bloom this year other than one of the trees next to my pond died and my pond gets a little more sun now. I love it. Not really sure what kind of lily it is though as I forget what I bought three years ago. :regular_waving_emot Yea me!!! :regular_waving_emot

fantastic, they do like sun, so that may be the reason. Mine are out in full sun, it has been darn hot, they are not getting sun burnt at all.

now funny you say they like full sun mine are covered by shade cloth I have over the pond and when I pull the shade cloth up high to let sun to the pond for awhile they close up within 15 minutes and when I lower it to block out the sun they open again

Nice flower, glad you finally got a bloom. I have my first lily bud at the water's surface and is anxious to have it open.

Im no expert but looking at a water gardening book I have, it looks like a Rene Gerard. But thats just a guess. Looks nice

I take that back. The Rene Gerard had narrow petals but I think the color is there.
