You won't find many here that like or use pressure filters. Too expensive and less effective than homemade filters at 1/4th the cost. I didn't even get into the cleaning which is 10 times more effort.

Thats what I wanted to hear. Truth is, I have been trying to get my hands on a 55 gallon drum and have been unable to do so. Tried the car washes, craigslist, etc. My first choice is to make my own. Was frustrated so began to look at other options. I will continue to look.

Try commercial carpet cleaners, they might have them. Coca Cola or Pepsi bottlers if you have one nearby might also be a source.
Chemical supply warehouses?

if your looking to go pondside with your filter..use a stocktank. they have more available sizes (volumes). they are lower profile and easier to make a waterfall with
