I need to get one for pond but there are so many different choices. I am thinking net with wider openings but need some advice on what works best and where to get them.

Mrsclem used a net from here. She said they made it to the size she needed. 4 inch weave.

I bought one from Memphis net but needed to use fishing line to join the pieces to make it wide enough.

I am going to order another mine is finally wearing out.
Probably from west coast netting

An egret visited last year when I was digging the pond and had to stop due to an injury to my knee. The pond hole filled with water and must have looked like a good fishing place for the egret. None have been here since I finished the pond but I dread finding he is back to late to save the fish. So I am exploring netting. Would need poles or something to arch over the pond and hold up the net. I have looked at some tent poles an d some nets but have not made a decision yet.

I got mine from same place as @addy1
Has held up pretty well for several years. Wide weave, about 4" squares. Had to join my pieces together also and used fishing line to do it. https://www.gardenpondforum.com/threads/heron-netting-101.13205/#post-195419
