Been busy getting rid of these red worms. Saw them in my filter box 2 months ago and ever since ive been trying to clean them out with no success. Think its the eggs I dont get rid easily. Should have known better and checked the net what they are!

Thought at first they were early forms of anchor worms. I had a bout with anchors two years ago and successfully annihilated them from fish and pond. But the more I looked at the reds now, they just look different from anchor worms. To my pleasant surprise, I found that these red ones are not at all harmful and in fact edible to fish, at least!

Anyway, can somebody confirm that what I have are the red ones, sometimes cultured, dried and sold commercially for fish protein? thanks.
