I'm not sure if this was posted here before but if so forgive me
It's a very interesting water garden to say the least

James Dyson’s ‘Wrong Garden’ Optical Illusion Makes Water Flow Uphill

Adam Frucci — This fountain, created by inventor James Dyson and inspired by MC Escher, has water flowing up a series of ramps. Or so it appears to.

Full size
It's actually a pretty ingenious optical illusion. Water is pumped out of the tops of each ramp, cascading water down both the ramp and over its edge. Bubbles rising inside each ramp give the illusion of water flowing uphill, and all together it makes it look like the water is defying gravity. Pretty amazing stuff, and it took a solid year to design and build.

You can go check it out at the Chelsea Garden Show in England if you're in the area.
(you could in 2009 but don't know if it would still be there now)

I saw something similar to that at a home and garden show in NJ years ago except it was the heart over heart with circle around it for ever lasting love .I was at the garden state arts center also for 2 weeks I think .Some ideas people come up with that work .I like this but seems there should be something in the middle more interesting unless they did not want to take away from the simplicity of it .looks like a bench back there to made of the same stuff neat wouldn't mind seeing it in person though

Neat concept but it's more a water feature than a pond, Can you imagine how hard that would be to keep clean with fish!

I don't know how one would even keep it clean w/o fish in it. Must have tons of chemicals in it for that
Then again I'm thinking that is was just built for a temporary exhibit

j.w., When I was in college it was mandatory to have an MC Escher poster on your wall in your dorm room. They were even more popular than the Farrah Fawcett posters!

For any of you who haven't ever seen any M.C Escher art here a few:
Creativity and logic converge in M.C. Escher’s mind-bending art of mathematical perfection. The Dutch Escher (1898-1972) is the world’s most famous graphic artist; his interlocking figures, shapes and mirror images presented in black and white enhance their implausible dimensions. As a student, Escher disliked math as much as he disliked flat shapes, thereby compelling him to create otherworldly optical illusions. Escher’s pop culture references appear in everything from The Simpsons to The Matrix to music and video games.
