I’m hoping to get ideas for making my own spillway at the top of a babbling stream watercourse. My filter outflow is 6000l/hr. I don’t want to spend hundreds of £s on what is essentially a plastic box/ bucket! How big would a container need to be for this flow rate? Has anyone made their own spillway?

I should add the Oase filter outlet is 75mm.

My hubby made mine out of stainless steel! All kind of ways to do one. Some just use dirt, make a hole and put the liner in it attached to the stream. Plant plants all around it, add driftwood, big rocks etc. You'll see more ideas here if you look around.
