DIY Pump Repair?

I'm trying to fix an Aquasurge 4000 that is out of warranty. A plastic bushing in the rotor assembly broke and jammed it up. I'm not looking to drop a lot of cash on this project but I do have some time to fiddle with it. Any advice aside from just buying a new one?

Did you go online and download there pdf file on the parts and service

All I found was the owner's manual but it didn't break down the rotor assembly which looks fine except for that little plastic bushing.

dave kelly from aquascapes shows how to trouble shoot the pump ,he has about 6 videos on repairs you can also go to there sight and they have a repair guide
