DIY Floating Pond...thinking about building....

Hi Folks...

.have one Freedom FI but too expensive to buy another...soooo...here is what I am thinking about trying and wonder what you folks think..

Use 1" 4x8 insulation sheet (lowes),
break in half and cut (I use a hot wire) in desired shape
; put Great Stuff between layers and underneath;
use leftover insultation/foam to form hill/mountain;
cover entire 'island' with leftover liner & secure with Floral pin/hot glue;
cover island with pond soil and moss sheets;
may cut holes for some plants.

Actually am thinking about using landscaping trees from village days and making it look like a mini island with pond, beach, etc.

Sounds like a good idea if you happen to do it please take pictures as I would like to try this as well

I built a small one using PVC around a nursery flat. I grow hyssop in mine and the koi love to kide under it. It can be seen in my video on my web site.
