I've noticed that I have about 3 baby fish still alive in my pond, however one struck me as being much different.
Its at least twice as large as the other babies, roughly 1.5 inches, and it has barely any color and appears black in the water. I know goldfish can come black or white, but I'm not sure if it's a baby Shubunkin or Comet, which is whats in my pond, or possibly brought in as an egg on a plant? It just seems odd that its so much different from the rest of the babies, particularly in size.

If anyone can, please let me know what it is.

In order to get a serious answer, you're going to need to have 2 more fish for comparison and that song from Sesame Street singing in the background, like this:

It looks exactly like one of my babies, so guessing a common or comet. The color is normal for a baby -- nature's camo.

Here is that fish compared to the fish closest in size. The other ones a bit smaller than the one on the left but generally the same in size and color. So you can imagine that the the other one caught my attention because it is so different from the rest.

Also, here is a video of it and another.

The one on the left is a baby shubunkin.
That explains a lot! thanks
Odd that there is only one Comet baby and quite a few Shubunkin babies.

The LARGER fry are called Tobies... they often get that way by eatng the other smaller babies.... many goldies take a year or more to develope color(s)
