Pond in sig. From personal experience, I have come to love Laguna brand products. And, I am needing an inexpensive, smaller sized aerator for my pond. A temporary solution, really. I plan on getting a big bad aerator in a few months. But right now I can't afford to do that, nor can I house it. I need one that can go in my current housing setup. So, I wanted to get yall's opinion on this particular aeration system:

What size is your pond? They don't give much info on that pump.

I would go with a Alita or Hakko air pumps. They do cost more but are much better pumps.

Are those the ones that you end up having to replace the diaphragm? Also, are they waterproof at all? I've had a problem with my other pumps getting water in them somehow and dying. Probably condensation or something.

Im surprised that Laguna doesn't make a bigger better air pump. I am really impressed with their products, that's why I went after that one little pump.

After a year or two you may have to replace the diaphragm.
Medo makes a nice piston pump.

The Medo air pump is more efficient and uses less amps but more expensive.

Ok thanks. I am trying to make my pond as energy efficient as I can. Cost a lot at the end of the year in electricity as I'm sure you know. That is why I love my laguna water pump for the waterfall. Super efficient pump.
