Hi all, quick question - I have a load of sandstone rocks, can I use them on the shelf for any wild life to climb back out?

Depends, how soft is the sandstone? I have some that water didn't bother, some that rots away with water. If it is tough stuff, it should be fine.

There really isn't any harm if it turns back into sand, just a little bit of, well, sand. So I don't see any harm in trying!

There is no such thing as a “daft question!” For every person who thinks they have one (here in the US, we just call them “stupid questions”), there are a dozen people out there who have the same question, but simply never asked.
