I recently purchased 3 CREEKSTONE 2500gph pond pumps from Harbor Freight.
They're $89 not on sale. Which is a similar price to other China made pumps on Amazon. Etc. But these have customer support from HF. I thought of that as a plus.
I've been using SMARTPOND 2000gph pumps. They're not that great. But last about 3 years each in my ponds when used with a pump bag. They cost $200 each.
The first thing I noticed was the size....Although they look just like my SMARTPOND pumps, side by side They're actually about 30% physically smaller.
The next thing I noticed was the output: Even though they are "rated" at 500 more GPH. They actually deliver far less water. I'm thinking that these are more like maybe 1600 gph?
So, the last test will be longevity.
I'll update this post if the first pump detonates prematurely...
(And I'm thinking it might)
