cost of ponds construction

so far i bought a preformed liner for 125 euros and 12 euros on sand
a small fountain and a set of lights for approx 100 euros
thats 237 euros in total so far and my own labour
how much is your pond approx
oh yeah i pulled a few wild crocus bulbs and planted them
and resituated 2 other plants in the overflow earth one is a fingerpalm and the other is corderline

My pond cost approximately $3500.00 US in material all labor was my own. Around here if I had it built by a pond pro it would have been $10,000 or more by their rates.

to me and imo you created a natural lake there, i just love it ,
money well spent,as its there for life and you can spend countless hrs by its side relaxing
how could you put a price on that

I'm guessing I spent around $2000 US. About $800 of that was for a pump and skimmer.

Mine in the front was about 5k. That is for everything, including lots of rocks, which are far more expensive than they should be. And delivery of rocks, which is also too expensive! I also bought a Helix skimmer. Includes the waterfall foam and pro-gun. Includes all landscape fabric, electrical and plumbing, rental of jackhammer for a particularly bad patch of hardpan clay -- everything. It really added up. But as RobAmy said, if I'd paid to have someone else do it, it would have been a lot more!

Back in 2004 it cost me about $1000 US for the liner, underlayment, falls box, skimmer and pump. I saved money by doing the work and gathering all the rocks from different sites.

My guess is around 7k liner, pallets of rocks, padding. The liner was the one big hit, around 40x40 feet

i just bought a few things pumpfilter hose and some liner cost about 250 euro on top of the 237 spent already
just below 500 mark now

had to go to the builderproviders yesterday for some breeze blocks and 2 bags of sand cost approx 40 euro
im now over budget total =537 euro not bad for a pond and waterffall
even if i say so myself
