Hello all, new to the forum and ponds. I have an area in front of my house that I'm in the planning stages of putting a pond into. Looking for a link to or some directions towards putting in a culvert/land bridge. The area I'm converting was a flower garden split by a stone path. I'd like to have an upper pond roughly 7'x6' and a lower roughly 5'x4' and have them connected under the path. Any help directing me towards information on how to construct the path/culvert between the two would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

Welcome to forum!

The best way would be to order a liner that would be once piece, with a stream piece in between them.

Yes , agreed to do your two ponds with a connecting stream . Just order one large piece of liner epdm or similar. Make your center area as narrow as you'd like then place your culvert pipe inside the liner and fill as needed or make it shallow enough to place boulders and make a land bridge with water between the rocks. You don't want to seem unless you have to . Not that its all that hard its just much easier to do one big liner

Thank you folks. I think this is what I was looking for. I had planned on the single liner route, cut as sort of an exaggerated peanut almost, but was confused on what to do between. So a culvert pipe laid over the liner of the connecting stream and then gravel and rock packed around it, basically? Thanks again for the replies. Now to try to source affordable culvert pipe.

Its all in your design butbibwill say this will you be wishing when its all done that you didnt make just one large pond .
One other note i would just fold the excess liner and not cut it so if you want that larger pond your half way there just dig out the sides
