Cloudy water

Hi all,
have another problem to my newly extended pond small pond, previous issue was green weed / algae, this is not so much of a problem now. Have now got cloudy water, have renewed the uv light in the filter, ordered more plants, waiting for delivery. See photos of water mid day.

By newly extended do you mean drained it, made it bigger or did you just add on to it ie building another pond next to and above/below it.

what type of filtration do you have in the pond? how often does the pump turn the water over? Have you tested the water? Can run off from the yard get into it?

Cloudy water can be a sign of bacteria bloom to deal with by Products of the nitrogen cycle mainly ammonia

@Jhn Bacterial bloom was first thing that came to mind! Also, unsettled fines from rock dust.

Thanks, consensus seems to be bacterial bloom, any idea what can be done?

Patience. Time will fix it. Adding plants will help pull the excess nutrients, but that takes time too.
