Hi Max
Had thought about this make myself, but will be going with greenseal as rubber, not too keen on pvc mock up, must say the guarantee good with free underlay, question is why the free underlay, plus you only get the cheap stuff in the deal.........its a question of money ......you only get what you pay for.
bottom line ......its purse or preference

Reminds me of used billboard material I've been thinking of using in my next pond. I mortar rock over the liner so I'm toying with the idea of using something over than EPDM...but that will be a difficult choice for me. EPDM has been very good to me...but I like to try new things.

i have a 18x20 billboard liner for my old pond. I held it up to the light and noticed it tiny holes. it was rated 18-20 mil. I was losing about 3 inch of water a day!! after a heavy storm i had water underneath my liner so i am starting over. I want to reuse the billboard as an underlay. are there certain type of material that should be use as underlay? or will the billboard tarp work?

That tarp will work. I had some I was using as tarps in arizona, that stuff is tough. It sheds water, but does not contain water, when it rained the puddles seeped through it.

I used a billboard liner when we rebuilt our pond last year. Not sure about the mil, but so far, no problems.

I have heard the stories of pin holes and that does concern me. I reuse a lot of material and it is never easy or cheap. But I find it interesting to try.

Right now many companies are converting to biodegradable billboards so the supply is not as good as it was. Unfortunately biodegradable doesn't normally breakdown in landfills. but I guess it sounds better.

They are an English based company, do they ship to your country, Max?

I have used 2 of these liners, one for my pond and one for my gravel filter - both seemed great and I'm happy! Very nice people there too, I'll keep going back!

Max, if you're interested in billboard liner, google local billboard advertising companies. Mine only cost $10. It is holding up very well and ironically, the advertising part is an aquatic these for the Cirque de Soleil - blue water, lilly pads, a turtle and a lizard man. The underside is white.
