Good morning all,
Help, new to ponds. My question is I have already dug a hole long ways that is 12’ x 8’ but now I was wishing I put across my corner. How can I change the size so I can add a waterfall In the corner?

The only way is to dig it. Just make the pond bigger unless you are limited by the size of a liner you already have. If that’s the case, use the dirt that you dig out to fill the space you don’t want, tamp it down, stomp it, wet it, then tamp it again as you go so that it’s compact.

agreed with Jamie, dig out another section and use the dirt from that to fill in the waterfall part, tamp it and bam!

Hello and welcome!

Yep, agree, you’re going to have to dig it. But why not include a bog in your design? Looks like you have some room to play with.

Welcome to our forum, you will need to dig it! Bigger is better.

Thank you everyone. Didn’t change it but it’s done and I luv it!!! What do you all think?
very nice! and it looks like there is plenty of gravel spots around the edge and waterffall to crack those plants out of their constraining ( is that even a word? ) pots and let them grow freely in the gravel!

Or course a bog, but as long as you have plenty of plants they should do the job :)
