liner you can change it easier to go bigger and cheaper and easier to maintain .Plus remember no pond ever stays the same you always see something in a pic or you tube and then you want to try it out .Plus if you ever decide to sell your house a liner pond is always easier to take apart and seems a lot of new buyers just don't want the hassle of a pond .Plus earth quakes shift things and never thought we would have one here but we have had 2 in the last couple of years

right now i have liner pond and is 12 gallon but recently beacuse we having construction in our back yard one of the contractor is willing to do my pond in the construction and he said he did pond before and he said he was gonna do cement pond and i mentioned him about the cracks and water leakeage he told he was gonna use the material that they use in jacuzzi and he is gonna use the sealent. so thats why i just wanted some idea before he starts the construction beacuse if i do line i dont need to buy liner beacuse i already have one right now and i could just tell him to put liner inside

I would say 95% (total guess just to give an idea) of ponds use a liner. Either a tarp like piece of material, or a preformed plastic liner. The only concrete ponds I see going in these days are huge ponds with elaborate filtration systems. Much more expensive but dang they are nice.

the guy who is willing to do my pond he doing all filtriation on the side were the pond will be super clean he said he was gonna run the pipe under the pond that be the drainiage pipe. the second the way he makin my filtration work is he digging the whole next to the pond which will be cemented inside and from there he is runing pvc pipe to the pond and i talking about this pond is gonna be about 3000 gallon so way bigger then i have right now. i have couple of drawing that he made for me how the pond will look and i will post them up pretty soon i like his idea it is just that i am concered about cracks ahhaah i dont wana keep filling up the pond everyday cuz of the cracks

$800??? I think that's a great deal for a 3000g pond lined with jacuzzi material with a bottom drain and a filter!!! Make him throw in a liner and we'll crown you the king of the deal on GPF!

1st hoping he has references and is licensed and bonded and let you see other projects he has done and customer satisfaction .My son always gives his customers pics and names of past customers and shows his license .Just protect yourself is all I am saying because if someone from his people get hurt on your property you pay .Always pay him in thirds some to start and some later and the rest at the end when you are satisfied .Also make sure he is in good standing with his suppliers .you don't want him ordering stuff and it gets delivered and he walks away with the money and a smile .
