I had my 24 inch female koi she is like 10 years older anyway I had to drain my 1200 gallon pond in June .pond is 15 years old .
We put my big koi in two 300 gallon stock tanks . They were in there 2 days 4 in each tank well they spawned the whole time . Now I have 100 or so fry none look like butterflies my question is can she have furtile eggs at her age she went through all the motions or was there another female in that tank?

Hello and welcome!

If you had 8 koi (separated into 2 tanks), then the chances are good that some of them might be female. And yes, i would think she can still produce fertile eggs.

If that’s the case, you might want to build a bigger pond…..1200 gallons with 8 adult koi AND babies…….

Only have 5 large koi in big pond the fry are in a 300 gal stock tank by their self and some in an aquarium. I thought since there is no butterfly fry it was another female that was the mom I have about 75 fry give or take

It matters not if your koi are white and orange. There's a good chance you'll get olive green fish with no butterfly. And little combinations of what we call koi.
The koi breeders sift through 10's of thousands of koi to get the most beautiful koi.
It's a roll of the dice you never know what a fish will look like when it matures. The color pattern we see now maybe close and then again maybe totaly different from what they are today.
This fish I have included I have had like three years now and it didn't have a hint of black in its pattern so sumi what so ever so you realy don't know . Some fish are less apt to change but it seems like if they are not a solid color and they have patches or spots anything can go
