Brown water

Hi Guys

Just extended my pond, and have re-potted my plants, I'm a relative newbie btw. Question is, I had lovely clear water before, now with the new plants and soil it has obviously made the water brown. May sound a silly question, but will the water clear again? Thanks in advance

most use pure kitty litter in there ponds and never use soil

In Europe many people line the entire pond with soil. It takes some time to settle, but it WILL settle. So will the soil from your re-planting. In ponding, patience is, indeed, a virtue!
