Black koi with gold belly

My one eye koi is black with a gold belly, he has a lot of sheen when he flips in the water, hes pretty gorgeous, what is he?

Is it a young koi? I just rehomed a bunch of 1 year olds yesterday and over half were the same coloring. Pretty sure they will be changing colors soon as I have no adults with that color.

Looks like hes turning gold! Though he could still turn orange but it looks like gold. He's doing pretty well for a fish that was defective. Born with one eye but he gets around pretty well

ihave similer in pic , ithought its ki utsuri or showa but it dsnt seem to be , it has black upperbody golden head belly , it may turn all dark orrange thts my hunch

I have a black koi with a gold belly. Because it is all solid black, it is technically known as a Karasu. Different black koi varieties sometimes have white-tipped fins.

Cool ihv seen black ones at shop but in my pond they wud b invisible fish lol ihv a black shubunken one of the baby tht was born and i cant spot it easily may b my background is dark nd deep

I have one of those too. I just refer to it as the whale. That's what it reminds me of. Beautiful fish!
