first year with this setup, Aqua II 4000 w/2” and sequence 5800SEQ21.
normally operating were 5-7psi on the Aqua II gauge. 3 days of 10F weather here in CT and my pressure gauge is pegged over 60psi. everything seems to be working fine but I assume there’s ice in the filter creating pressure.
do others run their bead filters all winter?
seems like i need a bypass for the filter but i really don’t want to drain it every time it gets this cold.

I think the water in the gauge nipple froze, seems like a common problem at these temps.
