I'm planning to redo my pond this spring and have been thinking of putting in a bottom drain. My pond is 12ft wide x 10ft long approx 4 ft deep but my pond is in the shape of a rounded triangle approx 3000 gallons. I want to put a skimmer in also right now I have a pressurized filter with a pump sitting at the bottom of the pond and I hate seeing the tubing coming out of the pond. Can I put in a bottom drain feeding into a skimmer then from skimmer to pressurized filter to a waterfall?

Watch pond digger on you tube he shows a new video on how to do a bottom drain on a large round pond he is building .He is making with air also .He is a pro pond builder and may be a good source also if no one can answer it here .I would not know as I don't have a skimmer or a bottom drain and figure my pond is over 4000 gallons

I have my two submersible pumps in my skimmer. When the water exits the skimmer its in a buried line, one going to the falls and the other to a pressurized filter. I hide my filter behind seem shrubs and have the return hose going through a small wooden house....kind of looks like a cider mill :)

I do not have a bd.
