I have my wife hold my feet and I go head first into the pond to lower the pots. Bet it's pretty funny to watch. Make sure you have somebody you can trust holding your feet....lol

We actually use those "grabber" things. You know, the grabbers for short or old people.. They look like a robot arm. I have two, and I hold one side and my husband holds the other and we lower it in together.. You have to get a GOOD quality one because it needs to really grip.. the kiddie play ones dont hold well.

This is a good subject. Short of yelling Sempi Fi and jumping in feet first, I have been wondering how others place their potted plants in a pond.

I almost took a dive head first the other day trying to pluck a old lilly pad near the base.

Keep the creative ideas coming.

after your in a few times your fish will come and greet you... i can hold mine (underwater of course)and pet them while in the pond. and its funny when they try to eat the hair on your legs.(not you ladies) i go in to vaccuum, prune dead foliage, rearrange, etc.. and AS OF YET.. not one single frog attack.
