It's weird, my dogs used to climb into the goldfish pond and just stand there in the cool water. They also exclusively drink this water no matter what I provide them. The large pond doesn't interest them at all, they haven't gotten within 10 feet of it since I put water in it. My wife had to bait them to walk onto the bridge last night. One of the dogs is a lab too, I was worried she'd try swimming in it and claw up my liner.

I had that happen with a new neighbor who moved in down the street .There dog came up here at night and the dog got in my pond and sliced the liner in several spots and I was shocked as the liner was a 45 mil thick one .I think when he tried to get out his back claws did the worse damage .I had a extra liner I had bought at an auction and glad I did because it was a lot of work moving the fish to stock tanks and a bigger water tank I had .The neighbors came to collect there dog when they saw i had him tied up out front .Not one offer to help with the damage and i was left to do it myself .Took 4 days and worked mostly through the night and of course 90 degree days .They were lucky no harm came to my fish .It meant moving the bridge and all the filters and setting up temporary system .Not fun

Our Yellow Lab Mx. used to swim in our 24" round above ground pool that is now a pond. He loved it and he misses the pool aspect and I would allow him to swim in the pond, except the filter is on that end of the pier so there is no way for him to climb out even though the ladder is still there. He never clawed the pool liner. He did love to attack the jet though! LOL

I have our kid's old inflatable kiddie pool, I think I'm going to set that up tonight and see if they claw that too much.

Buckry my dogs loved drinking out of it to .. they all did .. they found the water fall buckets and drank from there .. it was easier .. lol .. Monty liked standing on the edge pretending he was king sh!t ..lol.. which he thinks he is ..
Shoestring i thought it was so funny when he used his paw andit really helped him get it closer ..lol..
Sissy i woulda made the neighbors help that is alot of work .. i woulda freaked .. im glad my bakckyard is all fenced in .. there shouldnt be any dogs getting in.. mine cant get out .. and you really cant see the pond from the road either so i dont have to worry about kids comeing in .. alls i heard from the older ppl around here is that it is an attractive nuisance and you need to be careful...

That was a fun video Marion! Thought he was going in towards the end. Poor pets, we make them the laugh of the day whenever we can but they don't care, they love us just the same

Very cute video, you must spoil those puppies, most people would be freaking out if their dogs got that close to their Pond. When my puppies were little they were in all my ponds at one point in their lives, dragging plants around, general bad puppy stuff, but it was my fault as my husband would say, for not properly not watching them. Love the puppies, there my life!!!
