baby fish - how to tell if its a koi or not

i have 5 koi and 2 shubumkins and it looked like someone spawned a baby. the baby is about 2 inches long and pure white but with a reddish spot on each cheek.

i was wondering if there is anyway to tell if its a koi or a shub?

I think if it has barbells ( sp?) it's a koi, if not it's probably a shubunkin or hybrid. Kim

not positive because I don't have koi but I have read that they are not born with whiskers. not sure at what age they show up.
