Why do some of us still need to play this 'daylight savings time' game? I live in Reno 2016, most everything is open 24hrs and therefor we have a large night shift. Think they care about daylight savings?

It needs to stay the way it is right now! I love having sun up later I the evening . Of course I'm a working man and I hate leaving for work in the dark and coming home in the dark.

I love DST. The one or two days it takes to get used to is well worth the 7 months of extra evening daylight. Our sunset just went from 5:56pm to 6:56pm, and it really pays off in May, June, July, and August when it stays light past 8 & 9pm.

Ideally, it would be year-round.

I lived without time changes for 40 years, loved it. Except when my parents would forget it changed and now I was 3 hours behind instead of 2. They would call and say did we wake you honey....................lol

If we did away with it I would prefer that it stays as DST year round. I work 40 hours a week and then in the spring work in the yard several hours at night planting etc. The extra hour means the world to me when the garden has to be tilled, rows howed, plants planted and I only have a short window to do it in.

Heh-Heh ... I'm in Laughlin and I had a doctor's appointment over the state line in Bullhead, Arizona. The receptionist made an appointment for 4 PM which was perfect because I could go to my appointment after work. I got to the doctor's office at 3:45 PM ... only to find that in Arizona, the time was 4:45 PM and I had MISSED the appointment.

I hadn't thought that Arizona observed Daylight savings time but apparently the proximity to several reservations means that Bullhead does. So after that fiasco, I started noticing that people in service professions like central air and heating will talk about appointments in terms of "Arizona time" versus "Nevada time." Geez Louise!
