Can we use river sand(which looks like beach) for plantation? Specially lotus/lilies
Yeah they do but the river sand is free, that's why asking if it work. Most here I think use pure clay kitty litter it is cheaper
Nice..mean cat litter also provide nurtients, I'll use it.There are no nutrients in sand alone.
You will need to include some clay.
Yeah...you are right, same happened with me once. It floats with water, not completely but make things untidy. You could try it and see if it holds together or just floats away ,but you need to be careful you don't get something in it that may kill fish .I know our stream and river sand here is no good it just floats away from the plant when you go to put it in the water .i tried using it in pots in my stock tank
Is that a water soluble?I put mine in lava rock and even sand from my garden center but added miracle grow fertilizer to them and fresh water straight from my pond when i backed flushed my filters .
All looking great...but the same with is not available in india. Will need to find some good alternative. You can get it in powder and liquid .I use powder and just put it in my stock tank and lily pond and also on my banana plants .Bananas are now over 10 feet tall
Nice..mean cat litter also provide nurtients, I'll use it.
And until I finish the pond I planned to put all those plants in a tub with any garden soil or lava rocks, is it okay for 2-3 days?
But neem can also help as fertilizer I think, because neem tree is also used for organic fertilizers, I also use it in my garden.most plain kitty litter is bentonite and as long as it is not scented or clumping .That also says neem on it and scented and not good
