I think I'm gonna get an aquarium for the little goldies. Don't really want all of them in the pond and it would be nice to enjoy some inside too.

I like this one

Thanks, I've actually had aquariums long before my pond so the knowledge is there. I'll update with pictures when it happens

Hi LyndaMT, Those sound like good ideas. I miss my fish in the winter and would love to do something like that myself.

I was cleaning out my deck pond, found about 5 one inch, possible shubbies. Honey wants me to bring them in for the winter, so we will be setting up a small tank for them. Eggs must have made their way up from the big pond, through a pump, through 50 feet of piping into the deck pond, tough little suckers.

Mine are still tiny also, there are so many of them still and I am running two thirty gallon and one 75 gallon tanks for them. I have been separating them by size for some time now; trying to give everyone the best possible chance. Wow, Addy, through 50' of piping??? Guess those little ones deserve a chance too:) I have finally limited who I am keeping to ten....would like to get to five; The pet store I am working with states that he will take some of the babies over the winter; being that they are so small. He has a wonderful window pond that he has agreed to leave up for the winter in order to house them:) I can't tell you how grateful I am for that. And of course, he won't need to order Koi for next year. So, things are moving right along. I have posted some new pic for anyone interested:)

They are getting bigger and chunkier and look like they are doing good. Glad you found a place for the ones you don't want and he gets special home grown ones!

I will be bringing them in when we get back, the deck pond is cold has iced over a little, but not freezing solid yet!

Wow, Addy, through 50' of piping???

Yep and a clear water pump. Sure surprised me.

Well I finally got around to taking a picture. They seem to be doing just fine. they even like it when the cat paws the side of the tank.
