Any Pond Keepers in Virginia?

I'm in Virginia and would love to meet other pond keepers who would be interested in looking at my pond and vice versa. A neighbor with a fancy showcase pond stopped by the other week and it was really helpful to hear some of his ideas. I don't know anyone else with a pond. I'm in the northern part of the state, in Loudoun County.

In July you can visit a lot of ponds just south of you in Fredericksburg!

Virginia Water Gardens is hosting their 2009 Charity Pond Tour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, and from and 1 - 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 12. You can get tickets closer to the date from Virginia Water Gardens at (540) 372-4499. This event benefits the local Bethany Christian Services.

Our Japanese water garden is not exactly a "showcase," but it'll be spruced up and on the tour circuit! Bob & Terri

Thanks Camper Man. We will really look forward to the Pond Tour. Your pics are lovely. I'm guessing that with all the rocks and running water, your pond attracts snakes (like ours does).

I am a bit south of you in Faquier (sp?) County. We are in Amissville (between Warrenton and Culpepper).

We are new to ponding and the place we are renting and possibly buying came with this:

I have three large goldfish and would like to find a new home for them. They were given to us five years ago by my son's friend who had bought them as babies. I live in Loudoun county. If someone would like to have them or has any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you.
