Framing out my above ground pond this week. It's going to be 8'x8'x3' upon completion. I'm pretty happy to say that I have the 4x4's 8 courses high, bolted with 6" lag bolts. I'm debating going 10 high or to just dig out a few inches.

One question on the pressure treated lumber, if you seal it will it still leach the preservative into the pond water if I decide to create a waterfall using the left over 4x4? I will be using a liner , I'm just concerned with runoff when it rains and having some run into the pond.Anyway I'm happy as hell that I got 95% of the framing done in this heat and humidity that we had this week.

You should have small berm around your pond to keep runoff pathing away from it.

With the liner over the 4x4's I wouldn't worry about them. I am using the same to build a small pond on our deck covered by liner. . In fact our new deck has a lot of pressure treated wood, all up hill from the pond, it has been a work in progress since spring, no ill affects from rain hitting it and running down hill towards the pond.
