My pond is FINALLY what I hoped for....clear, living fish, and such a joy...I LOVE IT!! Thank you ALL for the advice and answering my many questions. :fish: Now...I know I've read on here, but can't seem to find it, great ways to get algae off the rocks of your waterfall....Some say to just leave it, but I don't want it to get "out of control." I know I've read somewhere about a toilet brush and using something?? Please let me know. Thanks!!

Toilet brush works great for getting the hair algae, Flipping the rock over will show the clean side and the algae on the bottom side once flipped will die back.

I get algae on mine, and I just leave it. It never seems to do any harm. If it gets to much I just scrape it off with a stick. Where the water falls from the filter and makes contact with my waterfall (old paving slabs) I get a build up of black hard algae.

In arizona when the algae on my water fall got to be more than I wanted. I turned it off, sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide, diluted, just a small hand spray bottle. Let it sit for a while, usually killed the algae.
