algae around plants

hi all,

i have a few plants that have yet to start growing, i was wondering if algae around the plants is normal for this time of year? i have alage on the lilly pads and a few other perrenials. pics attached

It is normal, I have algae around the plants in my smaller ponds. Once the plants start to grow the shade will help wipe out the algae.
