Wow, yep you are right way too many plants as can't even see your pond! You are just gonna have to get in there and pull out some of each and decide if there are any you just don't even want in there and those you do. It's up to you what you like. So did you want to just leave it as only a wildlife pond and no fish? If so then you prolly won't need a filter. You could pull out all the plants and put them in a kiddy pool and then pull apart the plants that are all grown together and add them back where you want them to be in separate spots. Will be a lot of work but you can take your time doing it all since no fish.Here is my pond which has been unmaintained for years .... no fish, no pump/filter and no lining - completely natural - Hope you can help me
