Aerator issue

im having issues with my aerator. When on high it bubbles like its on low. Low I get no bubbles at all. I checked the little air filter and it's fine. I check the line for holes, none. Today I dropped the stone to the very bottom and no bubbles came out even on high. I started pulling the line up and it started to bubble again.

The diaphragm may have a hole in it. You'll have to open up the air pump and check it out.

Could it be the air stone needs to be cleaned? I had some that were cube shaped and they'd get covered in "slime" and would bubbles would only appear from the bottom ( sides were slimey ) if the stone was suspended, allowing the clean bottom of the cube to release air.

You may have the airstone too deep for the compressor to overcome the water pressure. The entire aeration system may be too small for the pond.

True I had to buy a bigger aerator also because other one was just to small and air stone would only work 2 ft down .

What is a good brand aerator? I have owned this one for 2 years

I bought laguna and have been happy .I got it off ebay last year and it has a 4 year warranty and came with airline and 2 airstones and been really happy with it because it also came with the metal add on

As MitchM suggested in an earlier post, there may be an issue with the compressor diaphragm.

I cleaned my air stones, by soaking them in vinegar. I had a small air pump , which died too. It was the diaphragm, but in my case they cost more to replace than the pump was worth.

I am going to pull it apart tomorrow. I pulled the stone off and put just the hose in the water and it still isn't bubbling enough.
