? about UV light

I am considering getting this UV light for our 600 gallon pond. I really want to stay in this price range and this has some really good reviews. Any opinions?

I don't know anything about this specific light. You'll want to plumb it so that it's easy to remove the unit during the winter. I was lazy and left ours in the loop. Freezing weather cracked the crystal tube that seals the bulb from the water. Replacement parts are almost as costly as the original units.
If I'm not mistaken, Indiana gets a little bit colder than Western Washington.

My neighbors cracked and I found a glass vial in the dollar store and siliconed it to seal it and it works fine for now ,the replacement cover for it was 34 dollars .This thing i bought at the dollar store was for buds you put on a window and had a suction cup .I saw one that was plastic yesterday but wonder if plastic would work also for a cover .Not sure so did not buy it .
