@Becky @Dave 54 and anyone else.....
Long story so short that I'll leave out most of the details, LOL!
I placed an order online through a company in the UK. I ended up having to file a "missing mail" claim through our USPS here in the USA. When I went to file that claim, they wanted to know the address of the sender, which I had. But Ladies and Gentlemen, I had NO EARTHLY IDEA how to transfer that info to fill in all the little spaces and blanks! I really felt so dumb, to say the least!
Here, in the USA we have the only thing I am familiar with:
Name of recipient/sender
Street address
State, then zip code
The address I had for this company wasn't written in any particular format [or not one that I was familiar with]. And I'm not familiar with UK geography and terminology, so I had no idea what was what, or how to write it out [or rather, how to fill in the blocks]. I just made sure all the names and numbers were included, Oh Lord!
For any future correspondence issues, PLEASE, HOW does one properly write out a UK address? I know those folks are laughing their heads off at me, as I am myself....at my ignorance [I thought it would be so easy......]
