Probably discussed before, but I was sick of sticking my hands in the freezing water trying to retrieve leaves that found themselves in between rocks and at the bottom of my new pond (next year I'm doing nets). So, I got this idea and tried it today. I will give my idea a "B" grade. It wasn't great but I didn't get my hands wet and got the few leaves I couldn't reach with my arms are now in the trash. I got one of those trash grabbers you see people use. $20 bucks from a local hardware store.

That thing would also be good for stuff you accidentally drop in the pond or when the cat falls in

Wonder how heavy of rocks it could pick up? Good idea!

$8.00 Harbor Freight.. they have some really cheap ones $3.00 I had a pair for the basement pond...the cheapies, they lasted about a year. they sell good ones at pond stores, and ones withclippers on them made for pond plant pruning. the rivet the squeeze handle pivoted on rusted thru, squeezed it and the spring sent parts flying...lol
