A friend and myself built this filter for his outdoor 4500 gal sales pond. 275 gallon IBC tote.
inside backflush plumbing..

K1 where it belongs..inside the filter.

the media...24 cubic feet of K1.

Its plumbed as a SKIPPY,as far as center down pipe and swirl bars. but theres an aeration grid powered by a 40 watt air pump... for a smooth "boil" of the media. didn't get pics of the aeration grid or downpipe plumbing..
this filter should handle quite a load... I will post an action pic when I can.

Nice! I used one of those for my pond in arizona. Makes a nice filter.
